Coasting
Lawson's vitals were fairly constant today. Since he has been reacting negatively to stimulation again, he was wearing noise cancelling headphones and light blocking 'shades'. Even though it's a tough situation and we're still emotional, it's hard not to laugh a little when we see him 'dressed up' like that! He didn't really make any progress nor did he lose any ground, so overall it was a quite uneventful day, which is a pretty good day in our world!

This is probably similar to what he'll look like as a teenager...decked out in shades and headphones! I'm praying this will all be a distant memory soon. Glad you can find some humor in all the craziness!
ReplyDeleteI love your friend Molly's comment. This is truly how Lawson will probably look as a teenager - noise blocking headphones,'cause the music he's playing is too stimulating and the sun blockers (?), well he has been a cool kid from the beginning... and well loved! As always
ReplyDeletethanks for the sharing.
Dilligently praying...
Love,
Jackie "Spot" :)

ReplyDeleteSo glad that he's not got any worse, and that you're finding him cute with the headphones and shades - he will definitely be a cool kid when he grows up! :)

Not to be insensitive, but that picture is truly funny! Could they find larger earmuffs if they tried?!?!?

Everytime I look at Lawson with the earphones I think of the young boy developing teenager in that sweet book titled "I Love You Forever". I'll send you and Lawson a copy. :)
ReplyDeleteAll of you continue your strengthening in Christ!

To the Levering Family, just hang in there. I know this is a difficult time, but only God knows what is best for your family. Just know that I am praying your strength for your entire family as you go through this storm. Stay strong!!!
ReplyDeleteMitzi - I just wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Hang in there and let us know if there is anything we can do to help you. I love seeing the pictures of your sweet boy. Even with wires and tubes it is easy to see what a beautiful child you have.

Always reading Lawson's updates. It's good to know he's a fighter who has strong and supportive parents. All our best for The Leverings!

Mitzi & family,
ReplyDeleteLawson comes from a family of strong individuals. I know he feels the love surrounding him and hopefully he is growing stonger each as he faces new obstacles. I believe God is holding him close and has his hand upon his tiny body. Although we are not there, please know we are praying for Lawson each day. We love you hugs very much. Rita & Leslie
Thinking of you guys. Still praying for you guys for continued wisdom and strength as you make decisions.
